Wow, can you take a pic of all that equipment inside the flipside 300? I have this bag and I can't imagine all that stuff fitting in there. That's amazing!:)

I use the Flipside 300 for transporting gear. I wanted to get something compact so there was no problem with carry on. A larger bulky back pack might attract attention, in Australia they have been weighing carry on bags that look to heavy (7kg limit).

Here it is the photo with everything packed inside,

The Toshiba Netbook goes on top and rests on the bag dividers.

Monopod/Tripod fits on the outside.

I fit a 5dm2 gripped with 24-105mm F/4L, 200mm f/2.8 L, 135mmf/2L, 430exII , 1.4 TC and a 2.0 TC with room for accessories, netbook and point and shoot.

This is what I fit inside.

Holy Jesus thats a hell of a lot more gear then I thought could fit in there. Lulz!!

I have had this bag for over a year now and I love it. Its comfortable and secure. I love the fact that while on my back nobody can gain access to my gear well except for my tripod. I have one friend that ordered this bag minutes after I had shown him mine. If you buy this bag you will not be disappointed!

Does anyone else find this backpack uncomfortable? I'm not even talking about wearing it for hours, but I mean as soon as you put it on, I feel the straps digging in. I love everything about this bag except for the comfort level. I think it might be more comfy if the straps were wider with more padding in it. Maybe my body is shaped funny, but this is the first backpack that's been uncomfortable for me. Even the cheap canon backpack was more comfortable. By the way, I'm not overloading it or anything. Just the camera and 2-3 lenses and miscellaneous cleaning items.

Lannes, thanks for taking the time to post these pictures. I still can't believe all that gear fit inside it. How is the comfort when wearing it with all that gear in it? I fit less than half of what you have and find it uncomfortable.

You do feel the weight with the kit inside, but it quite evenly distributed.
I like the extra thick padding on the back and sternum strap is useful.
I wear it quite tight so that might help with the comfort as it doesn't bounce around.
If you wear closer to your back, the pack is more vertical and there is less pressure on the front of the shoulders

I actually feel the bag conforms quite nicely to my body.
Attach the chest and waist strap and it really helps to alleviate any weight...

Do you mean wear it higher on my back? I let it sag a bit since it looks funny when it's too high on my back. I don't like using the sternum strap but I think it might help with the comfort because part of the discomfort is that the straps slip away from my body which the sternum strap will prevent.

Yes, if the pack is more vertical, rather than the top further away from the body than the base, the weight is better distributed directly straight up and down.

The sternum strap will bring the pack closer into the back, if you have it snugged up.

I'll give it a try but I really hate using that stupid sterum strap. Now if I was on a hike I probably would use it, but just going around town I would prefer not to use it. Oh well.

A little help please.

I wonder if the Flipside 300 have enough room compartment for these setup?

Just to quote myself.
I finally bought Flipside 300 and managed to fit my setup above.
Surprisingly, it has more than enough room compartment for my 70-200 f/2.8 IS & extra bits!!

Definitely recommended!

i just ordered one of these.
its odd that some of them have the camera off to one side and others have it down the center.
i hope that is just user configuration as I hope to put my 500d w. 100-400L attached down the center and 50mm, 18-55 and 55-250 on the sides.

I just got this bag the other day, and I absolutely love it. Here's my current set up with the bag:

It's a pretty tight fit right now, but I'm sure if I remove my 24-70's lens hood I could fit quite a bit more.

^i got mine last month and no complaints so far. i'm surprised at all the gear some people are fitting in here but they must weigh a ton! all i carry in here is my 5d2+24-70+70-200+430ex and rocket blower and it's already pretty heavy.

also i have room for maybe 1 more small lens with hood on. i hate the fact that the hoods are so huge (well only the 24-70) that it really makes things hard to organize inside the bag...that's why i'm maxed out at 2 lenses and a room for 1 more prime maybe.
