Oh yeah, thanks. I have seen that. Just never played with it. Ill have to try it out.

Would photomatix be a program that replaces LR, but with more capabilities?

Thanks,
Jeremy

What I do is merge my different exposures in Photomatix and then finish the picture (contrast, sharpening, color adjustments, masking, etc.) in Elements. For me, the image from Photomatix is just a starting point.

This is a little off, but im still using this lens. I bought a cheap 35 dollar macro+wide angle lens that attaches to the end of the 18-55. I got it off ebay.

Its kinda cool for the money. Its crazy how close you can get with the lens and still be able to focus.

Here are a couple that I took in Oslo in 2010 on an XS. I no longer have the camera, but I have another 18-55IS for travel.

Can someone please explain to me how to post a photo here? Every time I do it it's a red X or just a link. I can not for the life of me get one to post properly from flickr for some reason. Thanks!

Click on a thumbnail of your photo you want to post here. You will then get a larger picture.

Just above and to the left of your photo find "Actions - Share" shown below.

Note in the above photo look at the drop down showing what size your photo will post at. Change if you wish but do not go over 1024 if that is available to you for posting here at POTN.

In the area above shown with the red arrow, click in this area one time. It will all turn blue, then press (on Windows) CTRL-C (on Mac I think) CMD-C to copy the code.

Return to your post here at POTN and click CTRL-V or CMD-V to paste the code into your post.

I do hope this helps :)

ahh. very helpful. I have tried to post off of flikr and it hasnt worked. I think the 1024 situation was the issue..

So, id resorted to just using the attachment, to post photos.
thank you. Ill try that.

Oh and the sky is not overexposed, it was absolutely grey out that day except for the little bit of blue at the end of the road.
