Nice captures.
At f/8, the lens has given good sharpness even at the extreme ends. Looks like you have found the sweet spot for this lens.

IS is really good.

Very nice captures, I personally liked the 1st & 2nd images. The 1st one taken in monochrome has given a very soft look in the photograph and brings out your Grandmother in the picture. The second one has come out even great with a diagonal rule approach. This method is often difficult to get in general photography with people. You have nailed it greatly. I see that the aperture is set at f/8 which is showing more of the background in focus, rather if you would have selected a much wider aperture you would have got a shallower DoF and blurred out the background even more and this would have made the subject stand out. Shooting children at eye level gives more beautiful pictures and even try keeping the full face in the frame. Try and see the difference. Thanks saketb!
