Hehe...just minor tweak in PS.
Duplicate the original layer, adjust level, exposure, brightness and contrast, then duplicate another layer from the second layer, now, apply gaussian blur approximately 25 pixels (depending on your file size), then adjust the opacity to 50% on the third layer. Good thing about having multiple layers is that you can always control by adding or decrease the opacity to your desired effect.

Thanks for sharing your "secret recipe". I'm going to try to duplicate that but using gimp. Hope it works the same as photoshop.

Yes. In fact, the burst covers more frames, had to take out many frames in between, otherwise, it'll overlap each other.

How did you put them together? Is it done on tripod and then just copy in bits from multiple layers in PS?
