Hi all...
Have a Canon EF 4 L 70-200mm non is lens....it seems to be a lot slower autofocusing than my 200 mm 2.8 and 400 5.6 L lens....typical?

Update....just called the Canon rep...he says that the usm motor might be failing...guess it gets to go to the California Hospital.

Yep....autofocus failed altogether a few minutes ago....darn...must be too many backed up electrons feeding the usm motor.

Mine is pretty quick at focusing, I use it for a lot of portraits as well.

I also have a 7-2 F4L non-IS, and it snaps into focus very quickly.
