Kids home today for a snow day, so I had a little time off to play with CS3.

My first crack at one of these - and my first posting of a picture here too. Be gentle:lol:

Very nice shot, although I think it's a tad dark. Other than that, gorgeous! Well done.

do you have a link to a larger size?

Nice shot, but I too agree with the earlier post that it's a bit dark.

Thanks I agree on the darkness - if I was any better with photoshop, I'd try and lighten the foreground some.

here's a link to the original "stitch job" after I saved it to jpeg in CS3

If anyone could share some tip to lighten it up, I'd appreciate it! Stil trying to figure out photoshop.

Beautiful landscape!

What version of PS are you using? - EDIT: Oops - just re-read your thread and saw you mentioned CS3.

You can add a levels adjustment layer to increase the overall brightness of the picture using the sliders (move the right (highlight) slider to the left to brighten, move the left (shadows) slider to the right to darken, etc.) then add a curves adjustment layer to adjust the overall contrast and color correction. You can also use the layer masks to apply the adjustments exactly where you want them.

There are some very good free video photoshop tutorials at radiantvista.com (among several others). They offer a lot of tips and shortcuts for tweaking photos in post processing.

OK. Quick easy Picasa fix for now. Going to try and do some CS3 tutorials tonight if I have time, and do a better job.

Beautiful. Makes me wonder why I'm sitting in my office with a mouse in my hand instead of outside with a camera.

- I discovered I scream the same way whether I'm about to be devoured by a great white shark or if a piece of seaweed touches my foot.

The clouds are great

The goal is not to change your subjects, but for the subject to change the photographer.
