Belmondo,

Hard to tell on my monitor, but is that sand or snow covering the ballast in #1

James

Looks like beach-type sand to me. It's definitely not snow.

Gear: Kodak Brownie and homemade pin-hole cameras. Burlap sack for a bag.

I think the station/shelter isn't half bad, but...ugh, those ACes are UGLY!

If it's not an EMD E/F unit, 1st or early 2nd generation GP/SD, or early GE U-boats, it's ugly!

I wouldn't mind seeing an A-B-A set of Alco PAs cruise through there someday.

**sigh

I was never a big Alco fan but after watching Pentrex's Green Bay and Western video, I'd like to see some in action.

All GEs are ugly! :p I think EMD widenoses aren't that bad (Compared to other offerings), but still leave something to be desired.

I like yeller, especially when it's clean and contrasted against a nice blue sky. Great shot. And at least that station is not like a lot of other Amtrack stations that remind me of those photo processing booths you'd see out in the middle of some strip mall parking lot.
