I used the 6.03 trial but never bought and have since been using the 7.0 trial. It is MUCH faster than 6.03 and the enhancements seem very nice, as well - especially the ability to read RAW files. Once you download the trial they start sending special offers.

No trouble transferring previous database to the new version. I am waiting to buy until after I get my Elements 3 and check out its categorizing capabilities. I have a feeling I will be buying the ACDSee 7, though, as it seems like a great product.

I just DL'ed it last night. For the 20 minutes I used it, it seemed much faster than 6.

I'm on the fence if I want to buy that, or sharpening software.

That's a very interesting question. Personally I would avoid such s/w unless I really really need that photo.

But it has turned a few shots that I was going to delete, into a keeper or two.

It blows away any sharpening I can do in PSCS.

I haven't even looked at it yet, but I probably won't upgrade. I'm still running version 4. I thought 5 and 6 were bloated pieces of crap. I don't expect 7 to be any different.

A week with 7 says it is different - sorry!
Much faster, Full Colour Management, Tools better available (edit without edit mode), doesn't crash on me and Canon RAW support.

I am with you re: V4 Vs. 5 or 6.... I still run 4 as well...

But I am hoping 7 is better... and it seems they have fixed a lot. I guess I'll try the trial version of 7.

I have used the trial verson of 7.0 and found it to be slower than verson 6.
I did remove the old verson 1st before the install.
I don't know if it is because I had verson 6 installed before hand or what.

I know at the moment I wont be upgrading.
