So I was using my trusty S70 when all of the sudden, the Earth suddenly jumped about 5 feet, and ran right into the side of my camera.
Now, only Play (or On) and the shutter button work. It does takes a picture. I basically have the a camera that does Point & Shoot and nothing else. No zoom, menu, function, delete, etc.
I took it apart and jiggled a few things, and at some point, everything started working. When I put it back together, same problem. Took it apart, can't get it to work again. So something is loose.
I have seen this problem posted on several A and S series Powershot cameras on other sites, but only one person reported fixing it by jiggling the wires inside. I've jiggled and jiggled and jiggled.
Any idea which cable controls 90% of the buttons on these cameras?
Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated!
Thanks
And kudos for Canon to at least using extra strength cables or whatever magic they used to keep at least the required buttons needed to take a picture functional.
