Great pictures.
I have an IXUS 970is that has this feature in shooting mode. But would really like to know if you can apply the feature after you have taken the shot. Does anyone know? Help would be much appreciated.

As far as i know, no. not AFTER the pic as been taken, atleast not in camera.
You can do it in post editing with certain software, IE Photoshop.

Read the manual. I have the S5 IS. And I finally figured it out.

If you're not prepared to post a helpful response, which a simple "Read the manual" isn't; see the Forum Rules, please don't post.

Color Accent is one of the "SCN" modes; directions for setting it up are on pp. 53-55 of the S3 Advanced Instruction Manual.

I don't have a S3 IS I have a S5 IS. I don't exactly know what page of the manual for the S3 IS would show what hes needing infomation on. Reading the manual is helpful. If no one has read the manual, then doesn't that indicate, no one should ask a question unless they actually have read it and STILL do not understand whats in said manual?!

Also if you read the manual on the different modes it explains what he's wanting to know, which is why i said read the manual. Why you find that offensive Jon, I'll never know....

I have real the forum rules by the way.

I have real the forum rules by the way.

Because the forum rules explicitly say "If you know an answer to a question either answer it or say nothing." If you can't answer his question as to how to set it in the S3; telling him to read the manual is no help, and assumes he hasn't already tried to find it there. That assumption is frequently, in fact usually, wrong. If you don't know what Canon calls what you're looking for, even memorizing the manual won't help.
