Okay, I've made one of the extensions for my hot shoe cord 2. Question is, what is the longest I can make it? Any electronics people out there to help me out?
Thanks,
Jason

The cable is used for bidirectional communication of data so at some point there will be data loss but I don't know at what point that will occur. Robert

Feb 03, 2008 20:11 | #3 thanks Robert. I think 50 feet might be the maximum I would use. I'm sure this has been discussed in the past, but I also wonder if I can fire my 420ex via hot shoe adapter and pc cord. Since it's not manual, it wouldn't matter to me if I can use ettl or not. I can just diffuse it for lighting backdrops, etc.

I can then just tell the electronic store guy to www.borneoeye.com
