I shoot raw because I like to adjust the WB when needed. Can I adjust the jpegs (WB) in lightroom and cs3 just like a raw image? If so I'd like to shoot in jpeg instead of raw. This would save time and hard drive space.

When loading a jpg in to edit the temperate comes out as a value of 0. As far as I know you cannot adjust temperature from within Photoshop but you might be able to in ACR. I haven't tried that part. My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

Or anything else that needs help. Gear-list!

Feb 04, 2008 10:06 | #4 I attended the seminar in Houston with Pierce "Captivated by the light". He made it sound like jpegs could be adjusted like a raw file in lightroom and cs3. I was just hoping someone could clear that up for me. A person next to me in the seminar told me you can do the wb in lightroom and cs3 but not cs2.

Maybe not as extensively as RAW but I do it all the time. Gear-list!

Open CS3 go to file>open as then browse for image. Use drop down and click on camera raw then choose image and it opens in ACR. 20D with grip, 50D,Canon 50mm 1.8II,Canon 18-55,Canon EF 24-105mm IS, Canon 70-200 2,8L, Canon EFS 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM, Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6, 580EX, 430EX, ST-E2

Feb 04, 2008 10:27 | #8 It just sounded like the lightroom and cs3 had something new that allowed for jpegs to be adjusted like a raw file. I'll take some pics tonight and run lightroom and cs3 and see what it can do.
