My first attempt at an pseudo HDR, taken at Mather point late October 2007. I am still not sure I like the effect, but invite comment.

Cool shot! The sky looks very weird!

Living here in AZ, I go to the GC frequently. A very unusual shot. I like the color, but the sky and rock formations appear heavily saturated. Overall I would say an A minus maybe. I like it though.

Nice view, reminds me of landscapes I used to create in a software program called Bryce, would have been interested to see this view non-HDR??

Cheers

Having never been there I really like the shots. I really like the colours, they make the photo pop.

Here is the original, direct from RAW via DPP ... no processing.

I think if you toned the orange down on the foreground rock wall it would be perfect, the clouds and the blue sky are awesome

honestly, i don't care for it. the sky looks cartoonish and the landscape looks like y ou just cranked up the saturation to 'maximum.'
you get a much better result if you just take the multiple exposures while you're there if you want to do hdr.

I am well aware of the adavantages of taking multiple shots while there. However, since I didn't ... I thought this effect was worth a try. I think I would like to get an effect about halfway between the original and the pseudo HDR.

Maxdave

If you going to try with multiple exposures make absolutely certain the frames are exactly lined up when you take the exposures, as lining them up is extremely time consuming!

Those clouds are about to pop out of my screen... they feel so 3D-like. Great job for doing what you had to do.

I'd play with the saturation a bit more, looks neat, just too extreme

I LIKE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE.
THE SATURATION LOOKS A LITTLE TO MUCH. TAKE IT DOWN A NOTHC AND IT WILL BE GREAT IMO
