Just playing around with the 40D outside...I felt like my settings were all over the place trying to figure out what was going wrong...and I'm not a noob..I know how to shoot. Thn I upload and see there are a few issues - different issues. I'll just post examples and hope for advice.

these two are the real issues for me. The first two, I'll guess at a problem with my cf card.

But 3 and 4...I feel are under exposed, but the blue channel looks blown.

I'll get exif in a sec..

Yeah exif would definitely help. That's so weird.

That could be the issue. A corrupt card can do weird things, from having an entirely black image, or mixing the RGB values such as what is going on here. I'd say ditch that card and use another Grace. Sorry that happened to you.

Did you format it in camera prior to use?

I had a Lexar that started giving me Err02 and losing whatever was in the buffer. I chucked it in the trash.

Try a new card and see if all is well. The challenge will be to recreate the second two shots to see if that was card related as well. The first two are obvious card errors.

No, not today, because I had several images still on that card from a visit with my sister a week ago.

I do format after I have downloaded all images to my external hard drive, and then again prior to new shoots...the ones I get paid to do! lol!
