Dear ALL,
Is it ok to use tele or wide filters over prime lenses to make-do during adhoc situation?

i've got a 28mm for general use, specifically when i'm with my families. i really like to large aperture and lighter weight compared with using a zoom. There were occasions (10% maybe 20%) when i needed some reach for that crop shot. i read that someone poked fun to say he's always at the wrong end of the zoom when he's using prime lenses

Anyone ever use such "tele" or fisheye" filters over EF primes? Apppreciate your input and hope to see some pics too.

By the way, which type generally produce better (or not-that-worse) results, the tele ones or the semi-fisheyes ones?

Lastly, thousand apologies if i should be posting such topics in the G-sereis forum. Thanks.

From the quality of the add-on lenses I've seen, you'd be much better off just cropping more instead of using a telephoto add-on. If you're going to carry an add-on lens, why not just carry a second lens that's a telephoto (or, maybe a standard zoom for "back-up" purposes :) ).

The Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 would be a better investment...
