Looking at the variety of cameras used for macro photography by members and given the price difference between the EOS 30 and EOS 40 in the UK, would the 30 be a sensible buy to work alongside my ageing EOS film cameras ? I am doing very little slide work with the discontinuance of a printing process I used to use. I find the 350 and 400 small to grip and wonder if I really need to go up to the 40 and its additional features. Sorry there are no pictures to attach but resolving this might lead to some in the future !

One thing to add is that if you start using a flash bracket the camera body size is a bit irrelevant. I'm still using a 350D, 20D and 40D for macro. The 40D scores on nicer viewfinder and easier controls but not too much else.

Suspect I might have one if it was :)- No the 5D is great for landscapes.
Obviously you can use it for macro and is excellent for lower mag natural light shooting but I would find the print magnification loss too much most of the time for it to offer an advantage.
