Signatures

I am not convinced some people signatures do their work justice.
Some of them are so big they span almost the entire image width.

Many put the signature on there photos to protect them from being used without there permission, which happens often on the internet.

I would agree with the OP, that slapping a massive copyright claim across your work is distracting at best.

Right clicking something posted here would not give enough resolution to print adequately from, surely?

I agree that people should protect their work if they wish, but think they should also protect their original artistic merit too.
