Interesting - using bracketing of three shots, this Panasonic sensor hopes to have a great dynamic range...

That looks kind of neat, but seems like it's a bit of a hack. I'm waiting for someone to make a sensor that can actually have a higher dynamic range...unfortunately I'm an ECE student, and my senior project adviser is at ISSCC...so I know a good deal about why that's so damn hard to do...

I'll need to bug my adviser and the rest of the grad students in the lab about this when they get home later this week, there's a lot of cool stuff being presented out at the conference this week.

They're seperate exposures - so that means you cant use this function with moving subjects?

Depends on how fast your subject is moving ;). That's why I feel like, while cool, this is just a hack. The neat thing, from what I can tell, is that it's summing the exposures before it even reads the raw data into the camera, instead of having to do it digitally on your computer.
