Camera photo setting

I was curious about a setting on my camera. The other day I accidentally chose a setting where when a picture was taken, it would distort the lights in the pictures and make it look really cool and different. I can't remember how to create that setting again. I believe that it was in manual mode and had an infinity setting. I have a canon SD750. I can send you a piture so that you can see what I am talking about. Once again, it gets the lights in the background and just distorts it and leaves streaks or other marks on the picture. I look forward to having you help me with my issue. I've enclosed a picture as an example of the setting. Thank you very much.

You were dragging the shutter, probably in manual mode or possible a "night scene" icon mode.

Here is how it works: You need a small aperture (high f/#) to allow in little light, a very slow shutter speed to create those funky blurs and the flash enabled to light and freeze the close subjects.

Place the camera in M, select f/8, ISO80, and a 2-3 second shutter speed. Turn on the flash. Take pictures and be sure to jiggle the camera a lot. See what you get.

lol.... no special setting, just what jeffery g said.. awhile ago, it was getting popular to put your camera in manual mode with a longer shutterspeed, then click the shutter and throw the camera.. folks were getting some cool shots but also wasting alot of cameras!
