It looks like I will be taking a business trip to Chicago in March. I have a good idea of the equipment that I want to bring along but I am not quite sure which bags to bring.

I am planning on taking:
350d
Tamron 28-75
Canon 50mm 1.4
Tripod (in checked bag)
Laptop and accessories

I have a Lowepro CompuTrekker Plus which usually contains my laptop and most of the camera gear but I am worried about the size on the plane.

If I don't take the 100mm macro and the 200mm 2.8, I can probably take my smaller computer backpack with the above list.

Has anyone flown with the CompuTrekker Plus, loaded up with gear?

I'm really interested in the answer to this too. Thinking of one of these to replace my Tamrac Adventure 9. For the record, I fly with this bag all the time, Laptop + full of gear + top compartment full of other crap. No problems whatsoever.

Which bag do you fly with? It looks like the two bags are very similar - the Lowepro looks like an inch higher.

Cool - since the two are similar in size, I should be able to take my Lowepro. And I'll probably be able to being just about everything.

Thanks,

Lowepro's web site will tell you if your bag is small enough for carry on
