For this one I laid my lightbox down so I could shoot from the top. Looking for inspiration, I went to the kitchen... Came up with this. I really just like the shapes mostly. Tips and Criticism welcome as always.

thats a great idea! nice lighting and composition- looks like it could be some real legit stock photography

I work in stock and I'd say that'd sell no probs.

No improvements on the photography side, but you should try shooting on a variety of plates (colour), but the one you did is fine!

Was that solely lit by a lightbox (nothing overhead)

Haha thanks guys. This was a spur of the moment setup at 2 in the morning. I would like to try some different arrangements definitely (once I get around to washing all our dishes).

My setup was.... A cardboard box with the sides cut out, covered them in white paper, two 500w work lights on the outside pointing in through the sides, white poster board on the bottom. I stood over the whole thing and had to handhold because I have no tripod...

Total cost: about $25
