I love the colours in this, but not so sure about the composition.

I guess I was trying to convey the quiet elegance of this building in the evening twighlight, and although it is peaceful I'm concerned about the 'balance' - What do you think?

I like it a lot. Well done. I can find only 2 things to critique and they are both minor. First, the sign in the lower right is very jarring, given the overall serenety of the rest of the shot - clone or crop, your choice. Same with the smokestacks (?) Second, I would selectivly rotate the horizon on the lower left just a weeeeeee bit clockwise.

Very nice, I would be proud.

Rad

PS - also, I am not sure about the point of the roof actually touching the edge. I did not mention it at first as it looked deliberate and a compositional focus. Then I got to thinking about the actual mechanics of framing this, and you would lose the point behind the mat anyways. Just something to think about.

Rad - Thanks for the pointers.

You're right about the sign - it has to go, and I'm going to try another crop that makes some space at the top.

JK - Guilty as charged :D

Cheers,
Pete

All the above. I like the colors. I'd be easier to critique the comp if the pic was a bit smaller. It's taller than my 17" monitor.

Nice, but I'd also crop the drainpipe running down the far right hand side...

Man, at this rate of cropping, all you'll have left is the windows! :D

I like the drainpipe(s), they're symmetrical and reinforce the linear look of this shot.

Nice job getting rid of that sign too.

I like the cropped version just the way it is.
