Saw it, like it, bought it, love it :D

I got the Fastpack 350. The camera compartment is about the size of the Lowepro Nova 4 AW, which is decent IMO. The top compartment is big enough for all other accessories including some misc stuff (a novel book for the trip :p)

17" laptop compartment is a tad over-kill for me (since my laptop is 15") but hey, it fits fine so I'm not complaining.

Usability is pretty good, like the slingshot, you don't have to take the back pack off to access/put away your camera. Just let go of the right shoulder strap and you're good

So overall, I'm quite happy with the bag

Gravity - would the 350 fit a EOS400D with 100-400 attached?

Thanks

I'd like to see more pictures for this. Lowepro does a horrible job with it.

YES YES! A review please because I want one. Although I still think I'd head to my local store to try them out first.

Got mine last Tues. Hope to get some photos of it compared to my Slingshot 300 this weekend. Needed something as big as the Slingshot 300, and hold a laptop too.

This thing has more storage capacity than the Slingshot 300. The bottom compartment looks about the same size as the SS 300, the top compartment is at least double the capacity.

The Fastpack 350 does NOT have the weather cover, like the Slingshots do.

^They aren't AW? Hm...might change my mind on that then. If the 350 is that big...yeesh.

Im not too happy about the lacking of AW, but then again I hate getting wet anyway, so the chances of me being out taking pictures when it might rain are very slim.

In addition to that, even when it does rain and i use the AW, I still shield it from the rain or prevent going out there anyway.

Well I was thinking this is the hiking pack I want. OH well, if it works as great as it does, I'll find a cover.

I'm pretty sure it would. I remember I saw a picture of it somewhere with the 100-400 mounted on a body. will post it up when I find it ;)

Considering the alternate storage space and all that, I'd be willing to use a secondary cover. Inconvenient and silly considering these could have EASILY been made AW but I would rather this over a Slingshot - AW or not. Furthermore the camera equipment would be stored in the lower compartment which makes it furthermore unlikely to get wet in a light drizzle.

These backpacks look cool. The Slingshot was very love-hate for me. This has more straps, so more love.

Also note a Pro body with 70-200 2.8 will fit in the 250 with room for two rows of small lenses or one row of mediums. The 350 will take a silly amount.
