Did not know where to post an introduction so I chose this forum.

Just wanted to introduced myself. My name is Giuseppe and am new to photography. I purchased my first ever camera a Rebel Xti kit a few days ago and went and got the "nifty fifty" yesterday. I have learned so much from this site already and am looking forward to learning even more.

This place seems like a great community filled with knowledgable and friendly people.

this place is awesome!! you will learn more than you ever thought you could. if you want, there are some books i suggest you get ify ou dont have them already.. understanding exposure by bryan patterson, and the field guide to your xti. the xti book is something that you dont have to read cover to cover. you can look up what ever you want when you want. and use it then. i used to keep mine in my book bag before i could remember it all now.

welcome, and go shoot something already :)

shannon

Wow quick replies, I hear you on the money thing. I am already thinking about purchasing some sort of zoom lens but everytime I think about it I have to tell myself "no you just got this thing".

For other new people that might be new here I found this post by Bill NG very informing and look at it throughout the day.

That look like a very good introduction to the basics.

Just remember that SLR photography has quite a learning curve because there are many things that will affect how the image looks.

So don't be discouraged if your shots don't look as good as you expected.

The great thing is it costs nothing to experiment and you cannot break your camera by trying different settings so go and have fun ;)

Welcome to the forum. Great place to hang and chat about photography and stuff.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
