When I go out and do stuff I can only take the lens on the camera, not the extra...don't ask.
I have the kit lens and the Canon 75-300..
I take pictures of all kinds of things which makes this even harder for me to decide :\

I'm going to try and put this as nicely as i can.

How are we supose to know what works for you?

You need to bring the lens you A.) enjoy using more B.) use more C.) feel you need to bring.

It is a personal choice, and not something any of us can decide.

Some days i go out with my telephoto to get some birds

Some days i go out with my W/A to get some trees

The reason i own both is because i use both.

The only person who can decide this is yourself.

Take one lens today, and the other one tomorrow. Compare the photographs you've got and decide which got you the better results.

I personally do not understand what would be the big difficulty to stuff the kit lens in one of your coat pockets or use a fanny bag with the other one on the camera.

Best regards,
Andy

some cameras, some lenses,
and still a lot of things to learn...
(so post processing examples on my images are welcome :D)

the kit lens is exactly that because Canon seems to think that, THAT is the lens that would be used more often, being more versatile and a good all rounder....

SO with the limited info you've given i'd say stick with the kit lens :D

 I have a solution

Buy a 58mm macro coupler (external link), connect lenses face to face, and you have one megalens that can definitely take pictures of all kinds of things. You only have to go close enough!
