If you were going to be fighting against some serious wind, what would you do for stability?
Think about it like this: you're in Antarctica, where the average wind speed is 30 MPH, shooting for over a month.

Stand in front if the wind and shoot with a remote after composing and metering. people will always try to stop you doing the right thing if it is unconventional

Feb 08, 2008 14:48 | #13 We use sand bags routinly in TV production they hold down 12x12 silks from blowing away I think they can stabalize a tripod well enough. You can fill them with anything heavy thats available....Ice may work... 70D, 24-70EF 2.8L USM, 70-300EF USM IS, 24-105 f/4L USM

Don't let it hang, it'll start to swing in the wind. Tripod, any that you can still carry shooting club VB and club soccer, hoping to get back to landscape work soon.
