I just found out that by registering my PW products online, the product warranty gets extended for another two years up to a maximum of 3 years. Before I registered, my PW warranty had expired in November 2006. But because I registered the product, my warranty got extended to next November. 
Now, I can get the firmware on my MultiMax updated to the latest version available for it.
