I know this is more of the same, but it was such a pretty day, and there's enough color showing up in the mountains to provide a little variety from our normal brown. These helper units were sitting on the passenger siding at Palm Springs waiting for orders. The fireman had walked over to Jack In The Box a half mile away to catch a bite, so I had a very nice chat with the engineer while he waited for the groceries.

Both shots taken with the 100-400L

Must be nice to just take your train out for a drive while you wait for something to do! Nice colors...even that yellow isn't too bad!

Thanks, Dan. I'm happier with the colors than I was a week or two ago. Not sure what I'm doing differently, but something is helping.

That first one really pops. Why don't you hook up the club car and run up here for lunch?

Bless the recently fallen and their family and friends.
I have a Cannon with me at all times. You can't take the shot if you don't have something with which to shoot.

I agree the colors look good. Nice job, Tom.

As for the private car to Skip's, check out this site (external link). If you buy a private car and want it refurbished, Avalon is the place to have the work done. I think it'd be cool to own a private car, preferably an old heavyweight. Owning one would require serious financial support.

Gear: Kodak Brownie and homemade pin-hole cameras. Burlap sack for a bag.

The first shot really makes me homesick, Thos. Break out the spare bedroom. This one looks like 5131's older brother, a picture of which I am glaring (whoops) staring at right now.

hope you do not mind pulled your shot and just added more gamma in exposure in cs3 and the detail in the back ground just jumps at you as you say that the colours have not been right i would serjest using the slides in exsposure in photoshop cs or cs3

I think the coloring is better in the original and it's an exact match with UP's Armour Yellow. It appears the edited shots have too much orange in the yellow.
