In past I have a xti and I'm having tough time to shoot at nights that picture look so dark..I rarely got a good picture at night
Now I got new A570IS and still having trouble to shoot at night such as nyc skyscaper, city, highway with cars light etc without flash.

How can I take a better picture at night?

Thank you
Jake

Would be very helpful if you would post a few examples of the results you are getting. Then people can guide you as what to do better.

Turn the iso down, as well as the f stops in manual. I wasnt shooting in dark dark conditions, but it did help me in low light situations.

I aslo have a a570 and am working on the dark side. lol it's to cold for me right now ot go outside ....this week's been minus twenty, so no venturing outside unless absoulutley required

You can upload a couple of photos from your computer to this forum by clicking on the paper clip at the top of the reply field. Don't know, but it sounds like a slow shutter speed, and the absence of a tripod to me.
