Miami came out flat in the first period, giving up 4 goals. We battled back later in the game, scoring two goals in the third, but ran out of steam at the end, losing 4-2. The second game of the series will be played tonight.

This game brought about the biggest crowds Miami has ever seen with over 60 students camping out in tents the day before the game to secure their place in line. Hours before the game, the main gallery looked like this.

Seriously CCHA teams are #1 and 2? The worst team in the WCHA hasn't lost a non confrence game in 3 years!

Great shots, go Seawolves.

"big check" is a seriously good hockey photo. I like them all, but that's a standout.

the glass in your arena looks really clean. jealousy strikes

Did you go to the game tonight, I think I'll post the ones I took a bit later. Too bad they ended in a tie.

I like the experimental shot, just wish there was a tad more definition on the players in it. It's impressive that Miami-Ohio can compete with Michigan like this. You wouldn't see this in other sports like football where a small college can compete with a large one. By the way, Go Chippewas!

For the most part the shots seem a tad overexposed and washed out. Might wanna try shooting manual purposely a stop under and bump up in post. Nice action captured as well.

I always do shoot manual. When I am shooting at ISO 3200 its much smarter IMO to overexpose slightly to get detail in the shadows and then correct the highlights in photoshop just because it's much easier on the noise. I agree some may be a little washed out.

Thanks for the comments everyone. It's so disappointing we didnt win either one of the games.
