I'm posting here for my friend. She was at a semi-formal event and she dropped her camera. She sent me 2 pics and it looks like the part that shields the lens at the front (and closes when camera is turned off) has been bent and fallen off. She also says some metal pieces have fallen out too. The camera still works, as she took these photos with them.

Does anyone know how hard this is to fix, and how much $$ it will cost to replace the parts? The SD1000 is pretty cheap so if the parts+labour is alot, she'll just end up bbuying a new camera.

If anyone is Toronto, can you recommend a place to repair it? Such as Henry's?
