I have a Sherpa 600R tripod with both Velbon ballhead and panheads. Both have Velbon quick releases.
Although I have no complaints with these components, I have so far been unable to find a way to mount the equivalent of an "L-Bracket", "Elbow bracket" or any arrangement where I can use portrait mode while the camera is being used with the ballhead (other than dropping it into one of the two slots). This is OK, but does require some recomposing. The same thing is true of the panhead.
Has anyone solved this issue with Velbon equipment?
