I hear ya. I do it all the time. You have to do what you have to do, in order to get those killer colors and shots when the customer/owners cant make something work for evenings. You did a great job. #1 and #3 really works for me. It's a shame the clouds were not working with you.

I'd say the car was worth the 5am wakeup, and so were the photos.

Great shots! I love the car and the location (I guess we just can't say it enough)

If I remember correctly the msrp of a exige is about 60k; so long as he's over 25, insurance shouldn't be too bad either...

I love the first shot, my only crit would be that the wide open as the rear seems a little OOF, guessing you were shooting wide open? Saying that every photo seems a tad soft (as mentioned a few times).

The rest of the compositions just seem to make the car look really awkward.

Post the rest up when you get the chance!

HOLY .. that's my DREAM car, color and all. <3
You did an amazing job, well worth the wakeup IMO. I like the soft lighting, as well as your closeups. Thanks for sharing!

You may hate the 5am wakeup, but I love your results.

yes - it was cold, my hands were shakey, and i have yet to invest in a good tripod (it's coming at the end of this month). i wanted to minimize the noise so i shot at minimal iso. however, to compensate i had to shoot wide open for that faster shutter speed.

lesson learned. wait until i get my tripod in the mail. =P

So did you get to drive the car? I've driven a few Elise's but the Exige is AMAZING! Nice shots.
