ARGH WHAT THE HECK HOW DO I DO IT?! :evil::evil::evil:

I have the latest version of EOS Utility installed and I have my 5D's communication option set to "PC Connection" and no matter what I do it gives me some retarded error about the camera being busy but it isn't even busy!

If I set the communication setting to "Print/PTP" it asks me to set the option to "PC Connection".

ARGH. :evil:

Somebody, please help. :confused::(

Tried uninstalling, reinstalling? (as in all the files for EOS utility...including the preferences files)

sadatk, yeah I've tried that. Uninstalled everything with the help of AppZapper and reinstalled again and I still get the same problem. :(

Try this: http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic2/593843 (external link)

http://www.amateurphotographer.co.uk …Number/578483/an/0/page/1 (external link)

I had this problem as well on leopard. Simple workaround. When the 5D is connected to the Mac preview an image on the LCD. Open up EOS Utility. Click on the on Remote Shooting, the error (Camera is busy and cannot communicate. Clear if camera’s LCD monitor is displayed) will appear. Press a button on the 5D to turn off the preview image. Open up Remote Shooting and it should work (cos it does for me on both my macs).

Actually takes a lot longer to explain than actually doing it!
