people buy cars and houses on trade me all the time - trade me has allowed people to run a business from home - this saves costs

use paypal or - paymate..

the other option you have is to use a credit card to pay the bank account. this way the credit card company will insure the payment .. so after a week if the product has not turned up or is faulty. contact them and request the payment to be recovered..

In all honesty thou i would buy from B&H and save a bit of money and have the security of knowing that B&H are real.. ;)

I would also buy from B&H first before trademe.

of course the total number of stuff that I have brought off trademe is a big fat zero.

I got stuff from B&H no problems.

Lance its a lot of money. Work out what Glam can do it for. Then compare with B&H. I will pick up from Glam for you, I will test for sharpness and reliability no charge to you

And this is why everyone should have a truly great teacher at least once in their life 8)

As part of those emails home I sent to everyone I sent one to my photography lecturer and now friend. In it as well as expressing my gratitude for everything he's done for me, I also went through the real inner ramblings of my mind as to why I'm hating picture taking so much at the moment. He's possibly the only person back in the UK I've properly explained things to, and although I never expected any great words of wisdom back, about an hour ago I received this email from him:

If that isn't the most witty and yet sarchastic reply to a question I don't know what is. I personally find it a great honour and priveledge to have someone who gets how my head works teach me, even long after the classroom doors are closed. So we get a short, funny and straight to the point, cutting through all the layers of bullsh*t email, and I feel like I've had my grievances with the camera belittle so much I don't know why I bothered getting fed up with it the first place.

To all of you thinking about doing courses, if you're lucky enough to land a lecturer who can challenge your head as well as teach you technical stuff it'll be the best thing you ever do! 8)

Dude, I am serious envious of you for having someone like that. Awesome email, but I do remember someone else saying a slightly similar thing on here a while ago to you :)

Peter, this was a "recompose" that you taught me.

Nice to see you are using it. Though as chris said the BG seems sharper than foreground.
I like the contrast of the B&W, but I like the colour version too.

Trademe also offer safetrader... we used it when we got our 20D... the money goes to them.. and they release it to the seller once you confirm the goods are received...

Yes - although it's slightly more difficult to get away with selling someone a stolen house.
