Duncan, running the monitor, temperatures are in normal ranges. I have since upgraded to IE7 & system seems to have settled down, odd.

akiwi Cream of the Crop More info | Cool photos again Wazza. Love that front on shot with the wheels smoking! manipula wrote in post #5255713 Your definition of portable is slightly different to everyone elses though. If it doesn't fit in a tobacco tin it's not going! ![]() As Peter said it's a visual indication of when the lamps have recharged. Bigger lamps (or more expensive) has their own charge pack to aid faster recycling, so you may see 1000W or 2000W heads recycling in just a couple of seconds, whereas if they were all integral to the head it'd take longer. Personally the beep system can get confusing when you've got several lights on a shot, and they all start twittering away. If it's any consolation Peter I can get pretty fragile if I've drunk the right petrol... ![]() I am also experimenting with a posh cheese on toast, have fresh basil and a dash of Worcester sauce, then cheese with some black olvies sliced up on top. Works quite well! ![]() My Elinchrom DLites are pretty small. but need a power supply.. and are still bigger than a speedlite. Mediation wrote in post #5256675 Nice I loooove black cars. Delivered a Night hawk black car today. Its so nice. Leather interior? Great thll you have it sitting in the sun and get in it in shorts! Mark Vuleta wrote in post #5256798 Speaking of toys, picked up the prize this afternoon. ![]() and the other twin ![]() I can't let my boys see these. They would go absolutley green with envy and wouldn't stop pestering me to get some. Peter

Slow either because it is set brighter, or it has less power so is turned up more, or as in my case is a cheapie. Anyway you only have to wait for one peep then. Do you not find that the head which beeps last changes depending on how you set up the ratios etc? Cheers, Dave.
