Cool photos again Wazza. Love that front on shot with the wheels smoking!

Your definition of portable is slightly different to everyone elses though. If it doesn't fit in a tobacco tin it's not going! :p

As Peter said it's a visual indication of when the lamps have recharged. Bigger lamps (or more expensive) has their own charge pack to aid faster recycling, so you may see 1000W or 2000W heads recycling in just a couple of seconds, whereas if they were all integral to the head it'd take longer. Personally the beep system can get confusing when you've got several lights on a shot, and they all start twittering away.

If it's any consolation Peter I can get pretty fragile if I've drunk the right petrol... ;)

I am also experimenting with a posh cheese on toast, have fresh basil and a dash of Worcester sauce, then cheese with some black olvies sliced up on top. Works quite well! ;)

My Elinchrom DLites are pretty small. but need a power supply.. and are still bigger than a speedlite.

To cut down on the twittering Dave, you turn all peepers off except your slowest light. Slow either because it is set brighter, or it has less power so is turned up more, or as in my case is a cheapie. Anyway you only have to wait for one peep then.

No, if you read what I wrote in the thread, I quite like the photo, just not the <insert 'phrase' here that I shall leave empty so as not to get my knuckles wrapped> suggesting it needed to be a panoramic...

Not all photos look great instantly by making them panoramics, I quite liked that little shot as it was... :)

Cheers, Dave.

I was actually thinking it would look better as an HDR!
Maybe an HDR PANO!

Do you not find that the head which beeps last changes depending on how you set up the ratios etc? ?!

Yeah, I picked that:lol:

Peter, I have the opportunity to get another one, someone else at the same branch won one as well but doesn't have kids. I think he wants too much for it though. Having just the one could be a useful tool/bribe though. Now, which one of you two is making me a coffee?

There goes that theory, IE has encounted a problem & needs to shut down! Wish I knew what was going on.

Does anyone know how to deceipher error reporting stuff that the 'putor sends?
