Damn it! Sometimes I almost think you can read my mind......(insert twighlight zone music here) Am I that obvious?

You basically need a starchy potato like new potatoes, fingerling potatoes, round white potatoes or round red potatoes. Can't go wrong with them. Peas in the microwave should be zapped from frozen. Watch for the steam when breaking the glad wrap. If all else fails you need a ceramic holding vessel, a metallic lifting implement, some cow juice and your favourite packet of breakfast cereal.

Very difficult & trying conditions to get some portraits yesterday, I thought they wanted some individual shots inside or around the garden, NOT go traipsing through the bush to a water fall for GROUP shots in the dark!

QUOTED IMAGE

Despite the jpg resizing pixelation I actually quite like it :) I like how they are staggered... where was this bush? Weren't you going to the botanical gardens?

A bunch of Canon bits and pieces.

Hello there... I've been off today, sick

So I've just been playing around with some photo's from my trip earlier this year, and I'm starting to like the 16x9 format after Tony's discussion

Grand canyon? Love it!

Obligatory duck shot, Quack! Pretty horrible overcast day, but lens seems to perform admirably

Naqs, this is a rough example of what i was meaning about being able to throw a pool of light ... have used it a couple of times now, quite like the effect.

I think in RL people wouldn't say a lot of the stuff that is said here.
If you are looking someone in the eye It is different communicating than more or less anonymous over a forum chat. Also you might walk off with a black eye in real lifr where as here everyone feels big and brave as they are safe and cozy in front of their computers.

I'm one of the exceptions - I'm exactly the same fruit cake in person as I am online ;)

No, botanical gardens was a possible suggestion for Brett & Co, this is on a small farm on the way to Pukekohe. It was my suggestion to start at 4:00pm a couple of weeks ago (but I forgot about daylight saving:rolleyes:) Reduction doesn't do them any favors, full size looks great, just got to see which ones they want & print them.

P.S. I just wanted to add that I think Moppie looks better without legs.

You know, this joke is older than you think.

Many, many years ago Forsaken and I meet a group of other car forum junkies at the Hamilton car show, and someone took a group photo.
urbandictionary.com now contains references to my stature, and a whole sub-culture was generated on the forum in question.

That worked rather well. I like it, a lot.
How many flashes used?

So long and thanks for all the flash

righto, have checked and frame #11 looks "reasonable" if only as a record that we had frigates, and therefore a navy, once upon a time.

sadly, in those days before the world was flat, the Waitamata tilted at 1.03 degrees to starboard.

Hah - about the same time we had an airforce?
That's a baby frigate!
Nice tiltage

I appreciate the efforts Jedi, alas I feel it is a lost cause. I think Dave desperately needs a job that stimulates his mind - so that we don't have to put up with it!

The empire have it in for me at present....

This was two, 580 & 540 on 1/2 power, zoomed (word?) to 35mm either side of the creek (after chopping down random branches:rolleyes:)
