For those aspiring portrait photographers out there, here's a little inspiration from a high end NY magazine.

CAUTION, LINK CONTAINS 18+ IMAGES DON'T OPEN FROM WORK.

Lindsay Lohan recreates Marilyn Monroe's last shoot Clicky (external link)

Seems even the high end photographers aren't immune to selective colouring though. <screams inside> Lindsay's quite the Marilyn though, only recognised her face as her own from about the third shot in. 8)

Cheers, Dave.

Is there much change between lightroom 1.1 and 1.3?

.2

The 1.2 upgrade was a biggy with added features and new cameras added. 1.3 was a bug fix for 1.2 after some issues arose.

Cheers Alex.....

I got the same feeling too. Plus I really hate Lohan, and the attention she brings herself. Name a good movie she's been in.

Herbie Fully loaded.......... well my kids love it.

I think the point was to look like the originals - and in that respect they've done a good job......... but it's much like the latest boy-band covering an 80's pop hit today......no amount of work is going to make it any good........ :D

Just don't read womens mags. She's always making headlines for the wrong reasons, like Hilton.

I've just received 3 desk calendars from Cargolux, with my photo in it. :)
Not bad, 3 calendars plus payment.

I must admit... I agree with you. They are good, but not outstanding. I guess Dave likes them as they haven't been made photoshop perfect.

Hey all, just a quick reference check really. Does everyone here who has upgraded their camera body and kept their old one actually ever use the old one? I am in two minds about keeping the 400d body. The new purchase has left me card hurting again, nothing a few months wont fix... but I HATE oweing money :) The 40D is going to do everything my 400d can and then some, its nice having a second body for the 'little woman' to play with when she comes out on shoots with me, and also means I don't have to change lenses as much out in the forest/beach etc which is a good thing.

On the flip side, its $800ish sitting there being used very little and the 450D is coming out in the next month or two meaning the 400d will instantly lose a few hundy in resale value.

Does it stay or does it go :| ¿?

I think lohan is attractive. But I dont really like that set. Wish the lighting was not so high key and exposed.

I just flicked through those. Very well recreated. Lyndsay is a tart, but she certainly photographs well, and almost passes off as Marilyn.

I was a huge Marilyn fan when I was younger, so funnily enough Lindsay is a perfect new age version. The only serious difference, Marilyn went for the big guns, Lindsay is going for whomever will jump into the sack with her.

A fair chunk of the two (personality wise) are quite mirroring

Sell the 400D and buy a fast prime. e.g. Sigma 30mm F1.4 or upgrade your Canon 50mm F1.8 to a better build and slightly faster F1.4... :)
