You look like someone who has studied photography for years. I got a B.A. in photography and I don't think my work is nearly as creative as yours. I'm still growing and learning everyday tho'. Did you ever consider working in photography? You could be a nature photographer and work for magazines, or a freelancer, and do contract jobs. You could sell your (expressionism)to art galleries who would promote your work and get you recognition. I would recommend you look into one of these possibilites. Photography may just become your whole life. I mean I could start off finding a job that involves photography. Would be nice on my CV. And then if I don't like it ill just head off somewhere else. I suppose this whole time in my job finding ive been looking for stuff that will impress my family and friends. Now im beginning to realize that I have to go for things that will improve... myself. A photography related career would be a dream job for me really. Thats exactly how I felt when I entered the design/animation industry, I had ALL the passion you are displaying now, and more Camera accessories? www.phototools.co.nz

Does everyone here who has upgraded their camera body and kept their old one actually ever use the old one? I am in two minds about keeping the 400d body. The new purchase has left me card hurting again, nothing a few months wont fix... but I HATE oweing money The 40D is going to do everything my 400d can and then some, its nice having a second body for the 'little woman' to play with when she comes out on shoots with me, and also means I don't have to change lenses as much out in the forest/beach etc which is a good thing. On the flip side, its $800ish sitting there being used very little and the 450D is coming out in the next month or two meaning the 400d will instantly lose a few hundy in resale value. Does it stay or does it go ¿?are yu still looking to borrow a 40d. © All rights given away

All for $1824, so saved a good few hundy. Just need to do lots of work again to pay for it all LOL Camera accessories? www.phototools.co.nz

Otherwise it will be useful only when in a few months you have to send the 40D in for repair. Clive, and Great G/D Abbie

Ive decided to try and look for a job that is close to photography. Since I enjoy it. They are wanting to hire a printer person. I submitted my CV and even called him. Had a chat and told him I absolutely love photography. And everything like that. I told him to look out for my cv ![]() If you get the job - can you ask them to deal with my complaint that's 3 months old.. rude buggers. Also ask them to sort their printing out - its crap lol Sancho wrote in post #4959394 Be very carefull ... once you do a hobby for a living the fun quickly gets sucked out of it. I used to love animation and computer design. I worked in the industry for 7 years and the love certainly faded. Instead of doing the cool things you like, you end up with all this boring corporate work. Instead of animating something cool, I ended up animating a lozenger going down someones throat for a TV commercial etc... which is one reason I am very wary of using photography to earn an income. I am happy to explore the options, but it would be on my terms and never full time. I agree - although the printing side of photography is probably different to the taking photos part so perhaps the novelty wouldn't wear off so quickly.. who knows..
