Natural light with S5....taken on the back of a white poster. Some editing applied.

C&C welcome.

Right - really dont know what Im talking about but here goes!! Im guessing back of poster is shiny? IMO prehaps reflecting too much light creating washed out sort of look? Love these flowers though - I do believe they are African Violets.

I was really expecting to see a string instrument smashed to pieces.

Thanks for comments...no, the poster was very white not shiny, no texture, no pattern. I did bring in the whites though in PP. There was nothing really to wash out - just a bit of shadow....and yes, these are Viola, commonly called Violets, a genus of the family Violaceae. Also known as a big stringed instrument.....eh Wool.
Perhaps you are right, I should have left some shadow in - just a judgment call on my part.

I wonder if using a polarizer filter would help the leaves to shine less and show more of their color.

I have no idea ...but the leaves don't shine very much....don't think it would change things. Not sure I could get more colour out of those leaves but thanks for the comment jpon2.
