Powershot S2 IS: Super Macro Mode Not Working?

Hi there...

Reportedly (acccording to manual) my Powershot S2 IS has a macro shooting mode and a super macro shooting mode.

I use the macro mode almost all the time when shooting in automatic mode as it seems to improve the auto focus.

I can't however get the 'Super Macro' mode to turn on.

According to the manual, I'm supposed to already have it in macro mode and then press and hold the macro button again until it goes into super macro mode but this never works.

I seem to remember having sucessfully enabled the super macro mode a few times when I first got the camera but now it just won't go into that final macro mode; so for now, I just use macro mode but for some extreme close ups, I would love to be able to experiment more with the super macro mode.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how I could solve this?

Thanks!

Super macro can not be set on AUTO mde.
Use P, Av, Tv or M instead.
