Aperture 2 is sitting here on my desk but I can't get to it because I have too many photo jobs to process.

So far, I'm loving it. Might just displace LR as my favorite, but time will tell.

Definitely faster, more mature in layout and "feel."

Wow I can't wait to try this. Have to get a MacBook Pro first because my old iBook isn't supported, but I just haven't been able to make the transition to lightroom because of how files are organised, it looks like Aperture 2 is what I've been looking for.

Has anyone noticed bringing up the import screen chugs? I had this issue w/ 1.5. The actual importing seems smoother, it's just getting to that screen.

I've used it a little, and can safely say I LOVE quick preview mode. I think I will not move over to lightroom because I didn't realize how much I missed management in Aperture. Now, if Apple would release a mac mini pro, or mac pro lite... heh

There's apparently a 16-bit TIFF bug in AP2. Something to do with certain graphics cards.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

I notice it shuts down way less on my MacBook Pro then 1.5.6 did. If I ran previews too fast on the older version I would shut down every now and then, no such issue - yet.

I could have sworn Aperture 1.5 would attempt auto-complete of metadata after every comma. Aperture 2 does not. In fact, I don't quite understand when it decides to try and auto-complete.

Or was this never a feature and I just have been using Lightroom for a bit too much?

Hmm, interesting note regarding tethering and Canon cameras...
