I've just set up an action in PS-CS to print (c) Damian Waters on my pics. Much more discreet than my big (C) on the mushroom shots!

But, occassionally, when I run the action the text appears to print all the words on top of eachother and I get a jumbled mess. Maybe it does this 1 time in 10. Any suggestions as to why this happens?

The problem you are experiencing is caused by the fact that when you created your "sig" action, the image you created them on was set to a certain dpi. As long as any other image you are going to apply the image to is set to the same (or close) dpi, then the action will work fine. However, if the dpi is not the same as (or close to) the original dpi, that's what you get, big letters on top of each other.

What you can do to resolve the problem is by rerecording your action and first set your dpi to a specific value, like 300 dpi, with the "Resample" unchecked. You can then proceed to type in your sig as before.

So you see, contrary to what some people have been saying on this and other forums, output resolution IS relevant even if you are not printing the image. :D

Thanks a lot - I'll make the alterations tonight. I will probably then have other problems and will ask for more help!
