As always, mom sent me $100 for my birthday. It's the thought that counts I guess.

As always, I'm going to flip it and get wifey something nice for valentines day. Such a stupid holiday. Anyway, having been together for almost 10 years, I already find myself scraping the bottom of the barrel for romantic ideas. I feel like I've done it all: Flowers, candy, flowers sent to the office, hidden gifts in bed, flower peddles on the bed and candlelight bubble baths (gay), sexy underwear, fancy schmancy dinner, home made porn, a night at the Sheraton Hotel... yada yada yada...

Help me out here... :(

You could get her an Arwen sword replica. It's both thoughtful and practical...

(e-cred to whoever guesses the reference)

home made porn

??? I might have to try that one V-day. Anyways, I'm thinking of going with some sort of dirty lingerie, something that she normally wouldn't wear. That way we both get something out of it. That and some roses, typical.

Just be careful if you create homemade porn. It could be used against you in a potential divorce proceeding...

Or end up on YouTube!

Gear: Kodak Brownie and homemade pin-hole cameras. Burlap sack for a bag.

youtube won't host it for long...you'd need to go to someplace like redtube...lol. regardless, if that happens we all benefit from that Valentines gift!

Not sure how it would be used against one in a divorce proceeding as both are consenting married adults.

how this end up on this subject anyways? lol

Anyway, back to the thread topic.

I, being an unemployed college student/photographer, do not have a lot of money to spend on holidays such as this, but for my girlfriend this year, I am getting her a dozen red roses along with a note. The note basically indicates that there is a scavenger hunt. I bought 13 cards from a store, and on them I filled out 12 things I love about her (each representing a rose), I will then hide the cards around her house, and on each card give a clue to the next card. the 13th card will be the prize, I haven't decided what I am going to do yet prize wise, but that doesn't matter. Either way, the scavenger hunt is ending at her bed.

Do you think she'll understand "But I love you every day of the year, why waste money on one tacky commercial day?" :D

Thanks, I went out and purchased a no empty bed guarantee a while back so I should be covered. :)

One of my friends wife feels this way about V-day! Her and my wife are really close too, so I've been trying to get her to convince my wife of the same thing. Hasn't happened yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
