Hi fellas,

I just saw an image of the above tripod (which I own) and in the picture, on the bottom of the center column, there seems to be a plastic triangular piece attached which seems to serve the purpose of a protector. I guess it keeps the legs from hitting/rubbing against the center columns when the tripod is folded. I got my tripod from B&H and mine didn't come with that thing. It isn't a big deal really, but I was wandering if you guys who have these legs do have that piece.

Are you sure you weren't looking at a 190? my 190 had that but it also didn't allow the center column to go horizontal. My 055 doesn't have it also bought from B&H.

UH OH B&H has been stealing all the triangle thingies off tripods!!

I contacted the service department about it. Just wanted to mention that these guys stand by their products and the service is top quality. A tech sent me a PDF of the tripod with a diagram of it completely broken down into its components, each one with a part number. They wanted to know what I'm missing so they can replace it or fix it. It is just the way it is supposed to be but I'm still impressed. Killer tripod and killer service, I don't think I'll ever get a different tripod then Bogen/Manfrotto.
