I'm in San Francisco on business for the rest of the week, and was wondering if anyone could tell me where I could go to set up the ol' tripod and take a few cool night shots? Of course, anywhere on the street is pretty cool in this city (tried a bit near the hotel last night), but I was thinking someone might be able to point me towards a "can't miss it" spot to take some long exposure night shots (I have to work all day, unfortunately...) I'm staying downtown in the Financial District.
Thanks in advance for any tips,
Erik

Can you try to get dusk rather than full black sky. All of the normal spots are good. Fishermans Wharf, Giradelly(SP)square etc. If its not too cloudy most of the normal places are just as good or better at dusk or even at night.

You can try a panorama of the financial district and the bridge-just take 80 toward Oakland and exit at Yerba Buena/Treasure Island. Follow the signs to Treasure Island. Beware the Coast Guard Facility, they are very security-minded, these days.
