Has anyone here used a Canon 35f2 or a 20 2.8 on their 1D. I would be interested to hear how you rate them, and would be grateful of any samples.

It's a match made in heaven! Just click the links I have in this thread, they're all the 1D and 35/2 combo. https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=746613

Good advice. I've downloaded Canon Camera WIA Driver Version 4.5.3 (file: k2706enx.zip from http://software.canon-europe.com/ (external link))
and it works!! :)

can you download the color matrix 1,2,3... into DPP to go along with the prigrams picture styles? i know there are other style you can download. if i understand correctly they are the picture styles of the 1D and seem to be different than the DPP styles.

I am starting to serious like this 1d. I have a 1ds mk2 and a 5d but the 1d is producing some cracking results. We bought it for £300 to shoot passports but she is going into the portrait studio. Here a re a couple of results from testing her on my wife and daughter this afternoon

They sure hold up well for an old camera,my 400D is no longer my main camera as I find the colours and exposure from the 1D so much better

Just had to post this for all of the people that moan about this camera's poor low-light performance. Taken at ISO 1600:

If I could just sort out the front focus issue that I have (seemingly only on "one-shot" AF, not servo???), then I'm pretty sure this camera would be perfect for me!

Looks great. Is it straight out of the camera or did you do any post processing and / or noise reduction?

I did some mild (I think 4/10) noise reduction in DPP.
