what matrix do you all usually use? I've got mine on 1 at the moment. Need to change them up and see what happens.

also, what about the Parameters setting. I can't change mine without software and firewire right? Should I even worry about that? I can always just adjust things in DPP and PSE&, right?

I use 1. Maybe 2 occasionally if I need a bit more saturation but usually I just adjust that after. All my parameters are set to standard and everything is in neutral. I don't even touch those on any camera. Just leave as standard and adjust as needed.

Matrix #3 over here. It's the only one that looks accurate to my eyes.

thanks for the explanation!

I did notice that they are much easier to work with in DPP. I was going to ask if anyone else thought that but then I thought it must be in my head. You just confirmed what I was thinking!

to post on the web or to be printed, you have to save it as jpg, right? I couldn't download my pic to photobucket as a tif file.

Yup play with your RAW/TIF file amd convert to jpeg for the web.I shoot only in RAW and use matrix 3 which you can only change with the 1D program.doesn't really mather where you have the camera set if you shoot raw as you can change it on DPP ,if the exposure is right you can change the file how you want.

I put mine on three and I like it really well so far.

parameters are set to standard, sharpening is 0. I guess I won't worry about changing them and do everything in DPP. Seems to work well that way.

thanks!

I love the "wows" I get when I take this camera to class...haas. I wish I didn't have to take a 4 hour a week basic class before I could take other ones... I'm not being cocky but I know everything... Blaaaaahhhhhhhh

I've never shot cars,,, did you manually select the center autofocus point and track the vehicle or use the automatic selection?
