Hey Guys, what do you think about buying EF 20-35 L for about 350$. I can add, that for used 17-40 i've got to pay about 450$. Is that worth?

Hello everyone.

I just traded my 5D classic for this 1Ds Classic. I really enjoyed the weather proof body on my other 1D (non-s) and I was drawn to this one.

Photos to come.

1Ds Classic, you say? This is for the 1D Classic, that it seems you used to own. Here's the 1Ds Classic thread: https://photography-on-the.net …hread.php?t=497270&page=9, although that's not to say you're not welcome here!

to me that would seem worth it, but I'm not an expert.

have you checked on the Lens forum?

great pics all!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE yours, nrowensby! Love the color and smoothness. Great job!

maybe I'll have mine back in two weeks. Azaleas are going crazy right now. My 1D got the color just right. I find reds to be hard...

I know a lot of people have gone the other way but has anyone gone from a 1D to a 30d and been happy?

Jason.

I went from an XT to 1D and occasionally find myself picking up the XT for a carry around camera. But when I shoot seriously, meaning football or wrestling I have to have the reliability of the 1D.

My sister, the professional baker and cake decorator once told me that my camera takes great pics. My reply was that I thought her oven baked great cakes.

I went from a 20D which is pretty comperable to the 30D as far as I'm concerned, to the 1D and havn't looked back. The only thing I miss is being able to zoom in on the LCD to check my lighting.

That really looks like a 3D render, for some reason. Nice work on the lighting!

Thanks, I think it's just the sharpness of the Nifty-Fifty.

I think it's because of the dynamic range, sharpness kinda goes out the window on the web.
