Both these shots were taken with my EOS1D Classic in AV Mode & Sigma 400mm f5.6 at f8. The Cart was taken at 250th/sec at 800ASA. The Motorcycle (a Kawaski GPZ750 in the "Early Stocks" Class for old Air Cooled & Twin Shock Bikes) was taken at 160th/sec at 400ASA.

I'm not Italian but I played the hell out of Mario brothers when I was a kid so I think that counts.

I've got a friend who's maybe 1/4 or less Italian. Does that count? I take plenty of photo's of him with the 1D...

Finally brought my $20 1D Classic to life!

Just did an ISO test while on the way home from band practice. At least this blows my 1000D right out of the water. ISO1600 on this, no noise reduction.

I think I love this camera! And for the price I paid, I guess you'd never get anything better...

quick edit: I just realized that this pic is out of focus... I guess that's what can happen when you get excited.

I get mad banding at 1600, though I think my one is one of the early ones. I never really go outside of 200 anyway.

You can see the banding in that one too,,, and even the "Classic" stripe running down the left side. I try not to go over 1250 but sometimes the non-random noise looks kinda cool.

Yeah, but with some noise-removal, 1600 is definitely usable I'd say.

But there is one thing bothering me. When I press the shutter halfway down, the auto focus will not engage. Instead, I have to push that focusing button with my thumb to activate auto focus. Now I love this, but I was just wondering if there is a function that disables auto focus when pressing the shutter halfway down? Just couldn't find anything in the user manual.

Could be broken; but hopefully it's a setting somewhere.

Are you talking about that button with the star above it? I prefer that one, there is a setting somewhere, one of the custom functions that does it, goes something along the like of AE/AF lock, mine was already set up like that when I got it, but I had my 20D like that before.
